Half of the doors and windows in Aleppo are destroyed, sometimes even without walls in between.
The other half is still complete. By supporting this festival, you give international attention to the other half. We still have some hope to save our civilization’s history and the rest of the secular life.
The most important cleavage in Syria today is not the one between regime and opposition, it is the one between civilians and military, the former group trying to survive while the latter sees the whole country as their battlefield.

The civilians of our city, who struggle to survive and witness daily the destruction of Aleppo, deserve to have a peaceful moment, to enjoy our photographic artwork.
This will provide them with a hint of normality, The Citizens of Aleppo will be like any other citizen around the world for a moment.
This will be the third time that we host this festival under horrible conditions. Please support the civilian side, help them to stay alive.
